Choose the Eglu Cube if…

  • You want four to six hens now, or think you might later.
  • You want plenty of space inside on wet winter days.
  • You plan to add an automatic door and keep the coop for many years.

Choose the Eglu Go if…

  • You only want two or three hens.
  • You have a small garden.
  • You need a second coop for a broody hen or new birds in quarantine.

Our verdict

For most families starting out, the Eglu Cube is the better long-term buy because it gives you room to grow. If space or budget is tight and you’ll never want more than three hens, the Eglu Go makes sense. Also consider the raised Eglu Go Up, which lifts the coop off the ground.
